Privacy Policy

1. Scope
This policy explains what BuildLead Alerts collects from account holders and visitors, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to our website and application, both operated from the United States.
2. Information you give us
Account and company details: name, email address, phone number, company name, ZIP code, travel radius, counties served, trades performed, and preferred project value range. Support correspondence you send us is also retained.
3. Information created by using the service
Which opportunities matched you and the resulting scores, opportunities you save or dismiss, digest and reminder email delivery events, sign-in timestamps, and basic technical logs such as IP address and browser type used for security and diagnostics.
4. Payment information
Card details are never stored on our systems. Payments are processed by our payment provider, which handles card data, invoices, and the hosted billing portal. We store only the subscription state we need to grant access: plan, status, and renewal date.
5. How we use information
To operate your account, match public solicitations to your stated preferences, send the weekday digest and deadline reminders you signed up for, process billing, provide support, secure the service, and improve matching quality. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share your company profile with other subscribers.
6. Automated processing
We use AI to categorize and summarize public solicitation text and a scoring routine to rank opportunities against your stated preferences. This affects only what appears in your dashboard and email. It makes no decision about your legal rights, credit, employment, or eligibility to bid.
7. Service providers
We share limited data with providers that run the service on our behalf: cloud hosting and database, email delivery, payment processing, background job scheduling, and the AI provider used to summarize public solicitation text. Providers are permitted to use the data only to deliver their service to us.
8. Email choices
Digest, reminder, and trial emails include an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing stops those emails without closing your account. Essential account emails — sign-in, password reset, receipts, and billing problems — are transactional and are kept separate from promotional messages.
9. Retention
Account, preference, and match data is retained while your account is open and for a reasonable period afterward to satisfy legal, tax, and dispute-resolution obligations. Cancelling a subscription does not delete your preferences or account.
10. Your rights
You can view and edit your profile and alert preferences from your account page at any time. You may request a copy of your data or ask us to delete your account by contacting us. Residents of states with applicable privacy laws may have additional rights, including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them.
11. Security
Access to your data is restricted at the database level so that you can read and change only your own records. Administrative operations are authorized on the server, never by hidden interface elements. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and to limit what we collect.
12. Children
The service is intended for businesses and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
13. Contact
Questions about this policy or a request about your data can be sent through our contact page. We respond on weekdays, generally within one business day.
14. Not legal advice
This page describes our practices. It is not legal advice and does not create rights beyond those provided by applicable law.
